Set Your Learning Pace

Everyone learns in their own way. Some people like to dive in and figure out by doing. Others like to learn it all and then start. This documentation tries to give you tools to chart the learning path that works best for you.

If you just want to get only enough information to experiment yourself, read through and potentially follow along with the Bottango Crash Course. The crash course will give you just enough information to start animating a simple example PWM servo driven robot. The crash course covers only the “what” to do, but not the why or all possible options available to you.

Every function and feature of the Bottango app is covered in the documentation below, starting with Workspace & UI. However, not every topic is something you need to know to start learning the software. This documentation provides recommendations for each page on where it could sit in your learning path:

Essential Topic are pages that are foundational topics to understanding Bottango. The features covered in these pages are used in nearly all projects.

Beginner Topic give more details on essential topics, or document features that are very commonly used but not required for every project.

Advanced Topic are pages that document functionality often used by users after their first few projects. Bottango has tools for beginners to pros. These pages can be skipped until you have the foundations in place and are ready to level up your builds.

Expert Topic are pages that cover the most advanced use cases for Bottango. These often involve complex mechanisms, user scripting and coding, etc.
