Hardware drivers are the essential connection between your computer and the hardware that can make real-world motors move.

A computer alone cannot move a motor. Bottango needs to connect to a microcontroller running open-source Bottango firmware and communicate commands to it in order to move your real-world hardware. Bottango calls the microcontrollers connected to your computer that are running Bottango firmware “hardware drivers.”
