Combining Wireless With Exported Animations

You can control Bottango Solar via Bottango Nova wirelessly, storing and triggering animations via button press on Bottango Nova.

Setting It Up

Using the steps in the Previous Section, set up your Bottango Solar to connect wirelessly to Bottango Nova. Then follow the steps in Exporting Animations to export out the animations you want to play without a connected computer.

You will notice that in the export menu, you have both Bottango Nova and Bottango Solar when selecting which boards and servos to include. Make sure you keep both boards selected.

When you export out the SD card files, place them on the Bottango Nova SD card, instead of the Bottango Solar SD card. The Bottango Nova will keep the animation data on it, and you will trigger animations via button presses on the Bottango Nova instead of the Bottango Solar. If you have audio files though, you’ll want to keep that on the Bottango Solar SD card.

When switching from live USB mode to SD card playback while wirelessly connecting, you will switch Bottango Nova in the desktop app. The Bottango Solar will follow whatever setting the Bottango Nova is in.
