Captain Cogbrow Pro Version Guides

With the pro version of Captain Cogbrow, your animatronic gains additional functionality:

• On figure audio hardware + speakers
• SD card module for storing animations and audio files
• Physical buttons for animation triggering
• Hardware to enable wireless control and animating of Captain Cogbrow.

The pages in this documentation guide you through using this extra functionality. For assembly steps and learning to animate, you should use the Bottango application itself. Download the latest version, select “Captain Cogbrow” in the home screen, and then begin the assembly steps. Once you complete assembly, you’ll be taught how to animate directly in the application.

Note

Before you start using and learning the pro functionality of your kit, you should have fully built your animatronic and ideally gotten a little comfortable playing animations, and hopefully even made a few animations of your own!

Software To Use and Versions

Depending on when you got your Captain Cogbrow pro kit, the in-kit instructions may have told you to download a preview version of Bottango linked on this documentation site.

The pro kit features of that version have now been incorporated into the main version of the Bottango application you download on the Bottango website. You no longer need a different version of the software for the pro kit, and you should download the latest version of Bottango on the Bottango homepage.

Early orders of the pro kit got a standard version, and then later a pro version upgrade kit when the hardware was finished. If this is you, you should follow the assembly steps in the application for the standard version. Once you’ve built the standard version with the parts you have, follow this guide for converting the standard version to a pro version.
